Warm welcomes, fond farewells to members of MRCDC board of directors

The McKees Rocks Community Development Corporation (MRCDC) welcomes two new directors to the board while wishing a fond farewell to two other longtime members.

Brandon Davis and Ron Reidell were elected to the board during MRCDC’s annual meeting held virtually on Nov. 19. Dollar Bank’s Ray Garofalo announced his departure at the end of the year and former Treasurer Craig Weber also departed during 2020.

Mr. Davis is an accountant for Carnegie Mellon University’s senior sponsored projects and is a former legislative aide with the Pennsylvania House Democratic Caucus.

A resident of McKees Rocks since 2008, Mr. Reidell has a background in community building. He is a former president of the Sheraden Improvement Council and worked with the Pittsburgh Neighborhood Alliance. “One of our greatest achievements was having the Sheraden Library built on Sherwood Avenue,” said Mr. Reidell, of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh branch that also houses a neighborhood senior center there.

The two join President Adrienne Roberts, Vice President Jason Corrado, Secretary Talia Piazza DePasquale, Acting Treasurer Henry Horn-Pyatt, Immediate Past President Tony Skender, Director Emeritus Father Regis Ryan and directors Paul K. Brown, Coach LaRoi Johnson, Ray Puskar and Aliya Wray.

As to our departing directors, we thank you for your years of service and wish you luck in your future endeavors.
