PROM TIME – In July, MRCDC Executive Director Taris Vrcek stopped by to visit Owner Nitika Proctor and the youth at TT’s ToyBox Daycare on Chartiers Avenue.
Vrcek was on a special mission to present a sponsorship check to Proctor for the group’s first-ever “TT’s Toy Box Boss Kids Prom Night” held July 27.
The prom came together after the idea was floated by one of the daycare center’s “Boss Kids.” Known on social media as “It’s Lulu,” vlogger @itslulubookie comments in the above video how excited she was to see Proctor grasp the idea and help them bring it all together in a matter of weeks.
“I’m so tired, like I’m beat. But everything turned out so beautiful, as we knew it would. I’m so proud,” she says into the camera following the prom.
“Everybody showed up. There were so many families and they all looked so good. I just want to thank Ms. TT, as I just came up with this idea two months, a month ago, and not even and she made it happen.”
