McKees Rocks Community Development Corporation (MRCDC) is excited to again be recognized for its work on the Roxian Theatre project.
This time the honor is for embodying the theme of Pennsylvania’s statewide historic preservation plan, #PreservAtionHappensHere, with a Pennsylvania State Historic Preservation Office (PASHPO) Community Initiative Award.
McKees Rocks is home to one of four recipients for the 2019 award that “have demonstrated the value of preserving iconic places and community landmarks through their ownership and stewardship.”
Because of COVID-19 restrictions, an in-person award presentation was delayed and ultimately canceled in 2020. MRCDC is hopeful members of the PASHPO team will be able to visit when the time capsule is placed inside the Roxian Theatre.
