The MRCDC is proud to announce local entreprenuer Anita Macias’ Kiva Zip loan of $5,000 has been fully fundraised! We endorsed the loan for her new venture, DragonFly Industries, LLC, a small trucking company that will be based in Sto-Rox. The funds will help Anita place a down payment on insurance for a truck, so her company can start hauling its first loads and generating income. Thank you to the donors who supported her loan!

Anita has already signed DragonFly’s agreement to lease tractors and trailers from Penske Truck Leasing and Penske Logistics and will be signing on to begin hauling for them any day now. The folks at Penske have been great partners to DragonFly and we’d like to thank them for their support to this burgeoning Sto-Rox venture.

The MRCDC is also excited to see the first company born of CSX’s investment in our community. We’re looking forward to continued economic growth as CSX, as well other future tenants, invest in the former P&LE Railroad property. It’s great to see a home-grown company looking to build off of this investment and hire from within Sto-Rox.
