Burn Excess Calories: Mastering The Art of Fitness at Ryan Arts

For those of you who may have overindulged at the Thanksgiving dinner table and are worrying about how hazardous the upcoming holiday season will be to your waistline, Ryan Arts has started a weekly exercise course to help burn off some of those extra calories.

An adult exercise course designed for all ability levels, “Grooves” is being offered from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. each Tuesday by instructor Trevor Miles of the Trevor C. Miles Dance Collective.

The course incorporates the muscle toning benefits of pilates and yoga based exercises with the pumped cardio element of hip hop dance moves. Miles modifies each class so that no matter the fitness level, everyone gets a great workout and leaves feeling energized.  

Ryan Arts began offering the courses in November and so far, the classes have been full of energized Sto-Rox residents and those who work in the area.

Miles says the program may eventually be offered multiple nights a week as it gains popularity. The cost for the drop-in course is $5 and a discounted class pass offering 5 classes for $20 is also available.
