[RE]BUILDING TOGETHER

During the Vacant Property Town Hall held in January, MRCDC announced that they had worked to bring Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh (RTP) to McKees Rocks to help eligible homeowners with home repairs in 2020.

Because of such great feedback during the 2020 campaign for applications, RTP has decided to expand its work in McKees Rocks and take on another set of home repair projects in 2021.

In order to secure 2021 funding for McKees Rocks, RTP will need to submit an application in May so are currently collecting applications. Funding for 8-12 owner-occupied home projects should become available for 2021. Work on the eight homes awarded help for 2020 should begin in late April.

If you or someone you know could benefit from help that will increase a home’s health and overall safety please apply. Focus is on homeowners that are at least 60 years of age, a military veteran, or a person with a documented disability.

Requirements to be met:

  • Applicants should be under 50% Area Median Income (AMI) but some in the 50-60% AMI range will be chosen (Monthly income for a family of two would be about $3,200)
  • The homeowner (name on deed) must live in the home
  • Must be current on property taxes or on a qualified repayment plan
  • Higher chance of help if someone living in the house has a documented disability (a doctor’s note works as proof)

Please fill out and submit the following form for consideration in the 2021 project year and tell them the McKees Rocks CDC sent you:
