Rocks Landing
Looking for a more sophisticated night out? You may have just found it with Rocks Landing Bar & Grille, McKees Rocks’ newest restaurant and bar. Located on Chartiers Avenue, Rocks Landing is owned by PK Brown, owner of Professional Limousine Service. His mission? To create an old school, laid-back vibe where a more mature crowd can come relax and socialize in a comfortable, non-smoking environment.
Rocks Landing achieves this by offering New Orleans-inspired cuisine, including jambalaya, turkey ribs, Cajun sandwiches, and gumbos, as well as mixed drinks and cocktails with a small selection of American beer and imports. All the while patrons can sway to the beat as R&B, Motown, jazz and 80s and 90s soul play overhead. A sign on the door makes it clear—‘smarter attire’ is a necessity, not a suggestion.
As Brown works with Chef Dan from the Legends of the North Shore restaurant on finalizing the menu, the MRCDC looks forward to the grand opening of Rocks Landing. With the hopes of attracting people from all over Pittsburgh, the MRCDC plans to work with the restaurant’s Facade Improvement Program in order to further improve this business and streetscapes.
Rocks Landing will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Sunday brunch over jazz soon to be available.
