Focus On Renewal will celebrate the recent move and facility updates to the Sto-Rox Public Library with an open house event filled with entertainment, games and raffles on Wednesday, June 21 from 3-7 p.m. at the library’s new home.

The Sto-Rox Public Library has relocated to the Father Ryan Art Center at 420 Chartiers (right next door) and now merges physical arts with literary arts and plans to launch a number of new programs aimed at all ages.

Attendees will also get to meet the library’s new director Denise McKernan, who says she is interested in seeing expanded involvement between the library and the community. The former North Versailles Public Library director is excited about the Sto-Rox Public Library’s new location, saying there are so many wonderful opportunities here in the building that will allow the library to partner more freely with the many different components of F.O.R.

“It’s an amazing space, definitely an unusual library, and having it in a building with so many programs bringing in so much foot traffic, it’s a good thing,” says McKernan.

This year the Summer Reading Program will have great performers, awards, and prizes for both child and adult participants, be sure to attend on June 21 to sign up.
