The first in a series of art exhibitions featuring local McKees Rocks residents is set to launch this weekend at the Ryan Arts and Culture Center, 420 Chartiers Ave., McKees Rocks.

Featured is the works of Fabrizio Gerbino an Italian painter and installation artist who graduated from the Istituto Statale D’Arte and studied at the

Accademia di Belle Arti, both in Florence, Italy. In 2003, he moved to McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania.

In Pittsburgh, his work has been exhibited in “Factory Direct Pittsburgh” with The Andy Warhol Museum, the 2011 Pittsburgh Biennial at the Carnegie Museum of Art and “Gestures” at The Mattress Factory Museum of Contemporary Art.

Gerbino’s work has also been exhibited at the Westmoreland Museum of Art and gallery exhibitions with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and the Pittsburgh Three Rivers Arts Festival.

Exhibition times are Saturday, May 6 from 6-9 p.m. and Sunday, May 7 from 3-6 p.m. Get tickets here!
