Sto-Rox Family Health Center open house to feature 28+ providers on June 17

In addition to free diabetes and blood pressure checks,  making sure the kid’s vaccination charts are ready for school and summer sports and opportunities for diapers, there will be more than 28 different area service providers coming together as part of Sto-Rox Family Health Center’s Saturday, June 17 Open House event.

The free event is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the health center’s McKees Rocks location, 710 Thompson Ave., McKees Rocks, PA 15136.

Other fun activities include free food, music, a farmer’s market, fire trucks, games for the kids and be one of the first 100 people and get a free t-shirt. Rumor has it SpongeBob SquarePants will be there, too.

“The health center has been in continuous operation since 1971,” said Fr. Regis Ryan, Executive Director of the Sto-Rox Family Health Center. “We have been at the Thompson Avenue location since 1983 and offer health care with a heart.”

The Sto-Rox Family Health Center is part of the Sto-Rox Neighborhood Health Council, Inc. The Council operates two sites located in McKees Rocks and the Hilltop communities of South Pittsburgh. Health care services include primary care, dental, women’s health, pediatrics, optometry, mental health, nutrition, podiatry, and acupuncture.
