Redevelopment of 3 commercial center properties focus of RFP by McKees Rocks CDC

The 507 Chartiers Ave. infill availability is located next to the recently revitalized Roxian Theatre in downtown McKees Rocks.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

McKees Rocks, Pa., The McKees Rocks Community Development Corporation (MRCDC) is accepting proposals from developers for the infill redevelopment of several properties owned by the nonprofit organization along lower Chartiers Avenue. 

The objective of this Request for Proposals is to identify a developer, or developers, to redevelop three properties located in the commercial center of McKees Rocks. 

They are located at:

  • 507 Chartiers Ave.
  • 533 & 597 Chartiers Ave.
  • 1 Furnace Street Ext.

MRCDC is looking particularly for developers interested in inspiring the community and for development that furthers MRCDC’s mission of fostering inclusive and equitable economic growth, generational wealth building, new affordable housing and commercial spaces, and creativity.

MRCDC is hopeful they can work with a single partner on this bundle of properties, proposals may include one, all, or any combination of these properties.

Infill availability at 533 & 597 Chartiers Ave., McKees Rocks is located between the AN Interior Design Co. and Hollowood Music and Sound business locations.

Developers whose proposals are best aligned with the expectations of the community – whose views will be reflected through this RFP process by the CDC’s staff, board and real estate advisory committee – will be invited for in-person presentations and further discussion.

The RFP was issued on Sept. 21, 2022. Proposals will close on Dec. 23, 2022 at 5 p.m. EST, after which no more proposals will be accepted.
