Grand Opening: Salvadoran restaurant brings new tastes to Stowe

Congratulations to Blanca “Helen” Martinez on the grand opening of her Salvadoran restaurant Pupusas Y Antojitos Helen. The restaurant’s August arrival in town was a collaboration between McKees Rocks Community Development Corporation (MRCDC) and Pittsburgh Hispanic Community Development (PHCD). The two groups worked together to find Martinez the perfect space in McKees Rocks and continue to collaborate on future projects.

Streetscape & Roadway Updates: Safer 4-way signal intersection planned for Lower Chartiers

Engineering firm Michael Baker International (MBI) has recommended a four-way signaled intersection be built as part of safety updates planned at the junction of Chartiers Avenue and Furnace Street Ext., at the Shoppes at Chartiers Crossing.
