Spreading cheer: MRCDC announces winners of small business contest

MRCDC’s Quarantine Contest has drawn to a close.

While the contest didn’t solve any of the major issues our local business community is facing because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was designed to spread a little cheer and draw attention to those businesses who adjusted operation models allowing them to continue to serve our needs.

On April 2, 15 contest winners were randomly chosen to receive gift certificates purchased from 18 Sto-Rox area restaurants, bars/breweries, bakeries and a few other spots offering online sales.

Prizes include 14 gift cards valued at $25 each and one grand prize assortment that includes gift cards and products valued in excess of $150.

The grand prize includes t-shirts, Black Forge Coffee, Jenny Lee Swirl Breads and $25 gift certificates from: Hollowood Music, Doughboys Pizza, Serenity Styles and Abjuration Brew Co.

Congratulations to our winners!
