Off the top of our heads, here’s a sampling of initiatives we’ve been working on in 2024:

• Collaborating with Borough and PennDOT on upcoming streetscape improvements 
• Pre-development for a hub for food innovation and entrepreneurship
• Co-quarterback in the Community Violence Reduction Initiative
• Small business support including access to loans and support through the Neighborhood Community Development Fund, Bridgeway Capital and others
• Fiscal sponsorship to a variety of smaller community organizationsSupport to many community organizations including Welcome to the Table, McKees Rocks K-9 Project, Film Kitchen, Greater McKees Rocks Rotary, Radiant Hall, Sto-Rox School District and more
• Partnering with the Pittsburgh Hispanic Development Corporation to bring a Salvadoran restaurant to Broadway Avenue and a variety of food trucks to lower Chartiers
• Provide local renters who want to become homeowners with access to the tools to get there
• A recent addition to our work, the MRCDC Ambassador team, helps to support and attend to visible needs that affect overall mental health and a sense of pride in our neighborhoods.
