An event every week that begins at 10:30 am on Saturday, repeating until May 5, 2018
This class will focus on creating a “mini” version of a Gemini Theater production originally adapted for our classic children’s season. Each week, time is allotted for production so students can rehearse, pick costumes, prepare props, and draw background scenery for their own Gemini show. Everyone in this class will perform in the production selected by the teacher, with characters being assigned based on student interest and comfort-level with size of role. Some students will play multiple roles, getting the opportunity to demonstrate their skills with characters and dialects. Students will learn how to take blocking notes, collaborate with their fellow actors, and give creative input to strengthen the performance. This class is great for those actors who want to perform in a regular-season Gemini production but are not able to commit to a full rehearsal schedule.
This class is held in a 15-week semester and will culminate in a final performance on the last day of class. .
CLASS FEE: $200
