Focus on Renewal (FOR) is hosting an evening of interactive art experiences with Irish-themed food and cocktails. Guests can explore their artistic side through Irish folk-storytelling, cartooning, painting, pottery, Celtic dancing, and improv theatre. All proceeds benefit FOR’s programs and services.
The “Artini II”, Luck of the Irish event will be held Friday, March 18 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Father Ryan Arts Center, 420 Chartiers Avenue, McKees Rocks. Tickets are $25 online (www.artful.ly/store/events/8439) or $30 at the door. This includes a light meal, mini cocktails, and an exciting array of interactive arts. A large money tree and Irish basket of cheer will also be raffled off during the evening.
Guests will have the opportunity to explore six art “stations” where local artists will encourage and instruct, including Sandy Kessler-Kaminski at the painting hub, Fr. Don Fisher at the pottery hub, Nora McBurney of Duquesne University in the dance studio and Jill Jeffrey of Gemini Theater at the improve hub, Matt Critchfield at the cartooning station, and John Meikle sharing Irish folk tales.
