Firefighters wanted.......
If you are looking for a challenge and willing to give back to the
community, then the volunteer fire department is for you. We are
currently accepting applications for volunteer firefighters. If
interested, you can stop by any Thursday at 7:00PM to fill out an
application. Requirements: Must live within 5 air miles of the
station, must be at least 18 years of age, must be in good physical
condition, and willing to attend mandatory training sessions. Fire
department to pay for mandatory physical. Must pass background
check.

Associate members wanted........
The McKees Rocks Fire Dept. has joined forces with the Federal
Government instituted Fire Corps. The Federal government
realized over the last few years, that volunteer fire departments
were suffering from man power shortages. They realized that not
every citizen within a community wanted to participate by
becoming active firefighters, but would Government instituted Fire
Corps. The Federal government realized over non firefighters,
would give the active firefighters more time for training the last few
years, that volunteer fire departments were suffering from and
better preparing themselves for any kind of disaster that may
strike a community. So the fire department is currently accepting
applications for man power shortages. They realized that not
every citizen within a associate members for the following
administrative, mechanical and community wanted to participate by
becoming active firefighters, but would housekeeping positions:
Assistant Secretary, Assistant Treasurer, help in filling other roles
within a fire department. These roles, if filled by Assistant
Engineers, Housekeepers, Fire Reporting Assistant, and other
administrative roles.
You can help by volunteering any amount of hours you would like.
There are no set requirements in hours to participate in the Fire
Corps. of this department. If you have any questions pertaining
to this, or would like to stop by the fire station to see what you
can do to help, please stop by any Thursday at 7PM.
